China Telecom plans to provide MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) service in the United Kingdom in early 2012, according to a July 12, 2011 report by Global Telecoms Business. The service is expected to target at Chinese tourists and Chinese community in the United Kingdom. China Telecom estimates that market size of MVNO service in United Kingdom is approximately 800,000 people. After United Kingdom, China Telecom plans to launch similar service in Germany and France.
